painting happy places since 2020.
I began drawing buildings as a way to relive fun memories during The-Year-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named when nobody could go anywhere. I painted the facades of buildings that meant the most to me: the little restaurants where I’d enjoyed a great meal after a big day of exploring, the bars where I’d laughed with friends over fancy cocktails, and the homes where milestones were celebrated with family.
I’m all about capturing those warm and fuzzy feelings. One of my favourite parts about this work is hearing the stories behind my clients’ buildings - the moments, memories and meaning tied to each place. Whether it’s a wedding, anniversary, birthday, housewarming, or even a bereavement, a custom building portrait is so deeply personal. Seeing someone’s happy place painted with care is often a touching and emotional gift.
As for my name? Pablo (a nod to Picasso) reflects my creative side, while Pandani connects me to Tasmania - the pandani is a beautiful tree native to my home.
i like bright colours and lines that wobble.
My portraits aren’t about precision; they’re about personality! I might tweak a colour or play with an angle to bring out the fun and joy of your special place. My style isn’t realistic… it’s iconic!
